Prepare your freight inquiry
Organize the cargo details needed to discuss a China-to-US LCL shipment.
What goes into an LCL freight quotation?
A useful quotation defines where the service starts, where it ends and how the cargo is charged. Compare offers using the same package details and delivery requirements. A low ocean line item alone does not show the cost of the complete shipment.
| Cost area | Questions for the quotation |
|---|---|
| Origin operations | Are receiving, consolidation, documentation and any supplier pickup included? |
| Ocean freight | Which charging unit, minimum charge, route and validity period apply? |
| Destination operations | Are deconsolidation, destination handling and collection-related charges included or payable separately? |
| Customs and final delivery | Which clearance services, taxes, inspections or delivery requirements are outside the price? |
| Contingent costs | How would storage, cargo changes, missed appointments or extra handling be treated? |
Volume, weight and minimums
Send both volume and gross weight. Some LCL tariffs use a weight-or-measure basis, but the conversion, rounding and minimum charges depend on the applicable terms. Do not use a generic conversion as a substitute for a shipment quotation.
Our quotation discussion starts with your actual cargo: package dimensions, gross weight, China origin and US delivery endpoint. These details help define the receiving, ocean and destination services to include, so you can review one clear scope before booking.
Can I receive an instant rate here?
No. The current form prepares a downloadable inquiry summary. It does not calculate a rate, reserve cargo space or submit a booking.
What if my delivery address is not final?
State that the address is provisional and provide the expected destination area. A final-address delivery quote may need revision once the full address, ZIP code and unloading requirements are known.
How long is a freight quotation valid?
Use the validity period stated in the actual offer. Check whether it refers to booking, cargo receipt or departure, and reconfirm if your cargo-ready date changes.
